Fresh, healthy local food, plus more parking options!
This Saturday, December 18th, over 50 farmers and food producers will be indoors at the Wentworth Greenhouses in Rollinsford, NH from 10am-2pm, selling their vegetables, meats, cheeses, milk, eggs, prepared foods, baked goods, honey and maple syrup! You can find a full list of participating vendors and the products they will be selling at www.seacoasteatlocal.org
Additional parking and a shuttle will be available from 10am-12pm at Salmon Falls Stoneware, just around the corner from the greenhouse! The shuttle will run for the first two hours of the market - the parking and greenhouse are less than a mile apart, making it a quick 2 minute ride. An additional 50 parking spaces are available at Salmon Falls. Salmon Falls Stoneware is located at 75 Oak St, Dover, NH. Here's a map!
Thanks to 45 Market Street Bakery for the idea and legwork to make this happen, and the generosity of Salmon Falls Stoneware for sharing their parking.

Goodbye til spring 2011!
Yup, that was the last market for 2010 yesterday! Here are pictures from the market.
Until we see you again in the spring here's a place to find out what markets will be going on all winter. And keep your eye on this blog for further news and announcements after the holidays, as we gear up for 2011. Who knows what will be new next year?

Nov. 6th Indoor Market
Just a quick reminder that Northwood farmers market will be open for business tomorrow (Saturday Nov. 6th) 9:00am - 12:30pm - inside the Masonic Lodge (aka Northwood Theatre building).
With only 3 markets left for the season - you might want to consider stocking up on some of the winter vegetables that keep well ...ask the farmers for tips on keeping squash, potatoes and onions well into the winter.
We're expecting:
Candia Vineyards, with their award-winning wines - local wine is a great addition to your Thanksgiving Feast.
Jody will join us with Dog treats (smoked bones and chewing toys),
Portable Pantry will be with us with soup and take home meals (those who tried her Chicken Pot Pie, last week will be wanting more !)
and all the regulars with fresh produce, lots of variety of apples, cider, donuts, herbal teas - hot tea and cider while you shop ... and more.
See you at the market

This week we could start our holiday shopping, stock up on soups or winter vegetables, buy greens for a stir fry or gourds to decorate our Thanksgiving tables. Where? At the Northwood Farmers Market, indoors at the Masonic Hall in Northwood, right next to the outdoor site at the parking lot at Rts. 4 & 202. Please come by on Saturdays from 9-12:30 until Thanksgiving and support our local farmers, cooks and craftspersons! A market is made up of vendors AND customers! Here are pictures of the good stuff our customers can get.
