Social Media Conference for Farmers

Charlene Andersen, founder of Nottingham-based Kamigo Marketing LLC, will shift farmers to the world of social media at the 2010 Women in Sustainable Agriculture conference. Andersen will cover how farmers can use social media sites like Facebook and Twitter to organically grow fans and promote their businesses.

The 2010 Women in Sustainable Agriculture conference will give farmers and specialty food producers of all levels of experience the opportunity to brush up on their skills, learn new tools and techniques, and reposition themselves in the increasingly competitive marketplace. Speakers include notable regional business and agriculture professionals in the Northeast. Intensive clinics, farm tours and round tables will offer tips and insights into innovations and successful strategies covering a broad range of sustainable agriculture topics.wagn@uvm.edu

Held at the Lake Morey Resort in Fairlee Vermont, the conference takes place from Monday, November 1 to Wednesday, November 3. Registration is $125.00 with day passes available for November 2 at $70.00 or November 3 at $60.00.
